Hi All!

Now that the new iMacs have been released, I need to sell my G5 desktop that has served me oh-so-well, before school begins.

History: It was purchased refurbished in early 2004. Since then, it has literally not given me a single days problem. It has done all I've needed it to do and more. Last fall, I upgraded it to 1.5 GB RAM and a Radeon 9800 Pro. Rarely, the video card becomes unseated and the machine needs to be powered down and the card pushed back in. Not a problem at all. It has been well cleaned and well-taken care of. All components still work flawlessly.

Specifications:
Powermac G5 1.6 Ghz Desktop
Mac OSX 10.4 "Tiger"
80 GB Serial ATA Hardrive
Superdrive (DVD-R/RW + CD-R/RW)
Radeon 9800 Pro Mac Edition (256 MB VRAM)
1.5 GB PC-2700 RAM
Original Software (OS 10.3.4 Included), Documentation, Packaging (Still have it all :-D)
Original Keyboard

Pitch: Need another computer around the house but don't want to pay an arm and a leg? This could be the perfect one for you. It's a silent, hassle-free desktop which can do all the basics very well and more. I've edited videos, played games, etc. It has done it all. However, those new iMacs beckon and I cannot refuse :-P

If you want to see pictures of the machine just ask! Any other questions just ask! I have a perfect Ebay feedback rating and have made two other sales on the MacRumors marketplace to two very-pleased buyers.

I'm a verified PayPal Customer, but will also accept Check or Cash. Buyer will pay shipping which should come to $49.99 (Ground Cost). Upon receipt of payment, the computer will be cleaned up, Mac OSX reinstalled, everything updated, and set up with a generic Administrator account, unless otherwise stipulated, then immediately shipped.

To give you an idea of the price, an un-upgraded and dented 1.6 Ghz G5 was recently sold on Ebay for $500 here (http://cgi.ebay.com/PowerMac-G5-1-6-Ghz-80-Gig-HD-SD_W0QQitemZ120148095759QQihZ002QQcategoryZ51036QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem). I'd probably expect a bit more :-D.

Have a good one!

-Will

if truly an ATI 9800 Retail, you would be better off Ebaying seperately. That card alone will fetch near $200, on top of your $600+ machine.

You mean if it is truly a REAL Mac version 9800, & not a flashed peeweecee unit :)

Pictures should be attached, below. The video card is a legit Mac Radeon 9800 Pro SE card. It has 256 MB of VRAM and DVI and ADC out, as is shown in an image below. No flashed PC card would have ADC :-D

Any other questions, please ask!

The PowerMac has been put up on Ebay, here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160146488327). If interested, please go there.

I'm selling it with the original Nvidia Geforce 5200 Ultra card. If anyone would like to purchase the Radeon 9800 Pro Special Edition card before I put it on Ebay, let me know. Thanks!
