This is a hardware calibrator for CRT, LCD, and laptop displays. Marketed by Pantone, Gretag Macbeth, and now X-Rite (http://www.xrite.com/product_overview.aspx?ID=788), this particular unit is from Pantone. Retail is $249. I bought it from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Pantone-MEU103-Eye-One-Display-2/dp/B000CR78CO) for $229 about two months ago. Will sell for $119 shipped.
