you will really have to prove yourself here... you should tell us why you are selling it, how you can be traced/contacted and above all, how you can be trusted.
ebay references are next to worthless, btw.
there's been too many scams going around and i'd hate to see anyone getting burned. i don't want to sound mean but i'm really mad there's been so many scams out there...
at least you are not selling it at a ridiculous discount so that's a plus. the retail is $2600. if you got this under some discount, you might want to disclose that info too. technically, hardware purchased under edu. discounts aren't transferable.

Sure, no problem.
I would have no problems speaking with the buyer via telephone, and providing personal information - I understand the caution, and am willing to work w/ that.
I am selling this unit, as it is a replacement I recieved for a faulty powerbook, which in addition to a reoccuring logic board problem, apple scratched the display up during repair, after that incident, they agreed to replace the unit - in the meantime, i picked up a 12in albook, so I just have this one sitting here waiting to be sold (I have documentation of the replacement order, etc)
For those interested, please do get in touch - If there is anything else I can do to guarantee you that this is indeed legit.

"Thoses two laptop since you didnt list the specs"
first off try and make some sense when you speak, secondly these notebooks do sell for 2,300$ new. Mine are BRAND NEW. if you go to compaq.ca and conver 3,200$canadian to US funds its about 2500$bucks US. so one of these plus cash is a pritty damn good deal in my opinion.

first there is no need to talk **** to me when you have ****ty laptops.
they are only 2ghz which is nothing... plus ur price is straight from compaq everyone knows that it cost more to buy direct from the company. Even if they are brand new they will lose there value a lot quicker then the mac will. NOT WORTH A TRADE if you want to giv me one and 1000$ you can have it.

Ha Ha Ha Ha no floppy! Macs stopped coming with floppies 5 years ago! Floppies are dead, if you want a USB floppy drive it'll cost you $20, there is no reason to judge a PB G4 because it doesn't have a floppy. :Sigh: BTW: A 1ghz G4 is not SLOWWW.

im not a fan of floppys either but sometimes their necessary. plus i wouldnt wanna lug around an external floppy drive with my notebook thats for sure. i love the slot loaded drive, but there not that practical if you wanna swap out one for a floppy or extra battery. as far as speed goes, you cant compare a G4 to a P4, the P4 blows it away in most tests. The G5 on the other hand is another story.

Yikes! Calm down people. Some poor dude is trying to sell something here and you have pissed all over his thread.
Bumped out of principle.
