I have been thinking about some additional upgrades for my camera, and decided that before I commit too heavily to my current system I should "play the field" a bit, as it were.

I have an Olympus E-500 in very good condition with:
14-45mm
40-150mm
35mm macro
(Please note that the focal length equivalent on this camera is 2:1, not 1.6:1 as is common on many other dSLR cameras.)
2 batteries
camera bag
1GB CF card
2GB CF card
boxes, etc.

I need to either sell/trade the above (though I may hold on to the memory if I switch to Canon) or go ahead and think about purchasing a flash and another lens or two (wide angle/fisheye, here I come!).

This thing takes great pictures, and has wonderful color, and I wouldn't think about selling if I didn't want to weigh all my options once more before committing 100% to Olympus. You can check out some of the photos taken with this camera and these lenses on my Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/babyduckmonger) site. I have also done many sales/purchases on this site, so I can provide plenty of references if it gets to that point. Pictures available probably tomorrow (I may have to be at work until as late as 10 tonight, so I probably can't put any up today).

Taking offers for purchase or trade, as well as any feedback anyone might have in general. Thanks!

Are you willing to part with the Macro lense?

If so how much?

Thank you,

The 1GB card is Transcend, and the 2GB card is Crucial. Neither is especially fast (but they work just fine for the sort of photography I do). I will try to check the actual speeds when I get back home (as well as take some pictures).

If I decide to switch over to Canon I may just hold on to the memory, regardless. Of course, I guess that would require someone being interested enough in this to take it off my hands. ;)

Thank you,

At this point, I probably do not want to part with the macro unless I am parting with the camera. The macro is my most recent acquisition, and I love taking pictures with it. If I change my mind, I will definitely let you know.

Sorry for the poor quality and fuzziness, but these are two pictures I snapped very quickly on an old P&S. After taking the 30 seconds to find a towel to lay the stuff on, I no longer felt like getting everything in proper focus :p. mIf there's something that needs to be seen more clearly, or you want to see another part of something, just give me a heads up and I will take more care.

By the way, you may notice a little remote control in the first picture. It totally slipped my mind that I had it. Great little addition to the camera. Also, the two zooms are obviously pictured with their lens hoods.

Finally, you can check out the DPReview of this camera ("highly recommended," by the way) right here (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympuse500/).

So I am definitely interested in selling now. I have a local offer, but I thought I would open it up for real here before I make a decision. If anyone wants more (clearer, different angle) pictures, or has any questions, they should feel free to ask.

What price are you looking for?
