I have exactly $200 set aside for a widescreen. The minimum size is 20, and if possible should have 1080p an option. what im looking at right now is... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824112007 So, either a better deal on that monitor, or bigger/ better if you are upgrading!

$225 shipped for a Dell 2007fpw. Great monitor. Bought new iMac, so don't need anymore.

IMHO, you'll be sorry if you get that one :(
I tried 3 models & sizes of that brand in my recent 45 day tests & trials of 83 different monitors, and it was at the bottom of the pile, right next to the Acer's, Chimea's, Xgen's, Envision's and a few other crapola bargin-basement units I'd never even heard of........
FYI, I was using a friend's fairly new Cinema Display as the guiding benchmark for comparison, not only of overall display quality, but design, styling, construction/build/other component quality, feel, weight, options & accessories, packaging, and whether a DVI cable was included or not.
I ended up buying the HP w2207 & luv it :D Granted, it costs a good bit more than you (& me) want(ed) to spend, but it is worth every penny to me! However, if I could have afforded an ACD, I'd have gotten one in a heartbeat :p
Bottom Line IMHO: Cheap monitors SUK!, and will destroy your eyes over an extended period of time!

Me not being able to try it is a major concern. But the monitor (or the comparable 20 in) you have only goes to a 1400x900 res. and the newegg review is very encouraging. Sadly, it seems that my limited budget will force me into the market for the basement brands for the time being, at least until i recover from my biking addiction :) (Gary Fisher Cobia... AWESOME 29in MTB)
OOPS! forgot to add that this monitor will primarialy be used with my 360... i cant afford a whole 26in TV, so super highdef and a little smaller will have to do.

well, i think its more purpose based. yours would be your main computer monitor, while what im looking for is a 360 monitor, that would sometimes double as a extension for my laptop. I'm not an expert by any means when it comes to response times, but 16 ms may or may not cause 'ghosting' issues when playing games. dell would be my 1st choice (2407wfp :)) but... i have neither the money or... well, the money!

I personally did not notice ghosting on the 2007wfp when using it with a 360. Also, different companies rate their displays differently. The Dell overall would be a better display. If you are looking for quick gaming and on the cheap. I suggest you buy that Sceptre while it has a rebate.

The Dell is 40052x times better then that **** you linked up. The response times are the biggest load of **** ever - they're totally meaningless and stupid "uber gamer" kids who don't know what they're talking about buy into the 2ms crap. Never, ever buy a 22'' panel. They're ****-barrel TN panels, have the same resolution as a 20'' and they're all ******. Notice how they're CHEAPER then 20 inchers?

THAT... made me smile :). im planning on the 20 in, and yes, i know the dell would be much better, but the only offer i've gotten is for 25 over my budget. however, this idea may get the layaway because i might be upgrading my pb to a mbp c2d... sooooooo that takes precedence over a display!

I have a 20" benq monitor that was only used for a week. I believe they make the panels for samsung displays, but I could be wrong.

$25 more than your budget for a better display is worth it IMO. Ask the seller what panel it has. It might have the IPS panel.
