this is a dumb question but next week im flying Delta to california, and was wondering if there is anyway i can hook up laptop up on the plane watch a movie or do some work, but not drain my battery...i know there is a adaptor but dont know if its worth it or not

Unfortunately, not all airlines have power ports. BTW, on a plane, you cannot recharge, only operate off the plane's power.

Your best bet is to prepare to conserve battery life as much as possible because chances of being able to power your laptop from the plane are nearly non existant unless it's a newer plane or first class or something.

how about dropping the $'s and buying a second battery??
Expensive, but handy for these kind of situations!!

I was thinking about doing that, myself, for those trips back and forth from school during Christmas break and all. The only problem is that batteries are pretty pricey. Does anyone know where I could get a good battery for a fair price? I checked a few places out but paying a few hundred it insane on a college budget.
