Gay Bar is not original to the Rathergood folks, unlike Hippo Girl.

Both are brilliant masterpieces.

Though I must say I prefer the kittens to the whatever it is that's serenading the hippo chick.

gaybar is by a band called Electric Six. it was released as a single over here (uk) a few months back. Loads of people have done spoofed vids of it, i like the george bush & tony blair one the best

i saw the kittens in a commercial last night! on VH1. i was surprised, took me a minute but it's definitely the same cats, particularly the drummer. They were doing an ad for some '70s flashback type show... really weird.
