I'm moving to Avid so I'm selling my Final Cut Studio 2 academic in the box with all of the original master discs and literature. $500.00 shipped in the U.S.
EDIT: Let it be known that any prospective buyers must provide proof of enrollment in a qualified school, or show proof of educational institution employment in order for me to transfer the license to you.
EDIT 2: Price dropped to $500.00

Really? Why? It's not like I purchased it to make money on it or anything.

I think you can still sell it as long as the buyer is a student.

Did you get an explanation as to why it got pulled? Could it have been the wording used?

Read the License Agreement (http://www.apple.com/legal/sla/)
You can sell it, the buyer however can only use it if they meet the Apple license terms, in this case they have to be a currently enrolled student, teacher or administrator. You may be obliged to inform them of that restriction before selling it - which practically means you have to restrict sales to eligable students, otherwise you are selling something that can't be legally used.
Also note that this is specific to FCS2 -- the terms may be different for other companies' software, and even among different Apple software
"You may, however, make a one-time permanent transfer of all of your license rights to the Apple Software to another party, provided that: (a) the transfer must include all of the Apple Software, including all its component parts, original media, printed materials and this License; (b) you do not retain any copies of the Apple Software, full or partial, including copies stored on a computer or other storage device; and (c) the party receiving the Apple Software reads and agrees to accept the terms and conditions of this License.
All components of the Apple Software are provided as part of a bundle and may not be separated from the bundle and distributed as standalone applications.
Updates: If an Apple Software update completely replaces (full install) a previously licensed version of the Apple Software, you may not use both versions of the Apple Software at the same time nor may you transfer them separately.
Academic Copies: If the Apple Software package has an academic label or if you acquired the Apple Software at an academic discount, you must be an Eligible Educational End User to use the Apple Software. "Eligible Educational End Users" means students, faculty, staff and administration attending and/ or working at an educational institutional facility (i.e., college campus, public or private K-12 schools)."

Ah-ha, thanks for that clarification. In that case, let it be known that any prospective buyers must provide proof of enrollment in a qualified school, or show proof of educational institution employment.

Check the specific SLA on that piece of software first -- it may (or may not) differ.
Also, the policies of MR regarding advertising and posting still overrule the detail of the Apple SLA -- it's quite possible that a not-legal use (the wink-nudge-sure-I'm-a-student sale) still poses too much of a risk for the site owner. This is their sandbox, we just play here. The site owner makes the rules.
