Hi,

I tought it would be cool to have a thread where we share just cool websites that not everyone knows.

That means not sites like macrumors or apple or similar sites (they are cool - but we know them). I mean site you normaly don't look at and maybe don't know about. They can but must not be Apple related.

I like e.g.
http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html
http://www.time.gov/
http://www.olga.net

Cheers

Kickups (http://spikything.com/games/kickups/)
Great game for when you are bored, no one ot talk to, nowhere to go, etc. My personal best is 135.

Mini-Putt (http://www.people.fas.harvard.edu/~pyang/flash/miniputt.swf)
Also anoter good golf game for when you are horribly bored.

games.swirve.com (http://games.swirve.com)

There are two really cool games there. Utopia and Earth 2025. In both of them, you basically run a country. Utopia is more like an RPG than Earth. Both are high in strategy, though.

The best part is that you're playing against literally thousands of other people, which keeps things interesting.

AND IT'S FREE.

Slashdot (http://www.slashdot.org) Everyone knows it, but it's just so damn useful that I will post it anyway.

 what is up with that site? that was just freaking me out...

one of my favourites is k10k.net (http://www.k10k.net). you've especially got to check out Wullfmorgenthalers Daily. some funny comics there.

the same guys that do Kaliber 10000 also do moodstats.com (http://www.moodstats.com). an interesting piece of 'emotional software'.

also stick figure death is always funnyWIP feat.
