just picked up a black 160GB classic... I never have any reason to be unentertained in my life... syncing this ought to be a blast....:)

now i've got to sell my black 5.5G 80GB black and 5.5GB 60 White...

love technology except when this multiplies into too many items...

any feelers on the prices on CL or ebay for 5.5G 80GB black (2 mo old), or 5.5GB 60gb? black in perfect shape, white has scratches to face...

repeat.... i am not a fanboy... i am not a fanboy... just love tech

This seems like something for the marketplace, however, you can't start threads there, so I'll just give you a lil advice. You could get at most $200 for that 80 gig, be it immaculate, but more likely slightly above $150, 60 gig is prolly worth $150 at most... time will kill prices on 'em. Good luck finding buyers...

I sold my 5.5G 80GB on craigslist for $250 and then bought an iPhone.:D:D:D

The 5G 60GB might get you $150 - $175 depending on the condition of the iPod.

Sell them? Pfft.

I'm about to grab a blue 8GB nano on Thursday and an 8GB touch when they come out. That'll be 7 working iPods in my possession. :D:D

Why? Just answer the question. Why? Why the fu*k do you need 3 to 7 iPods. Please don't reply if your answer contains retard comments such as, 'I use the Nano to go jogging etc'.

I believe the 60GBs are just 5th gens not 5.5 gen.

2nd Gen Shuffle - for use when i'm riding/racing my bike

I hope i'm not too retarded for you

Yep. Your answer was retarded enough.

Oh well. You go on believing that you need two iPods to hold your favourite music and a seperate one for videos.

I like Apple, but I am unaffected by Steves distortion field, unlike you it seems and every body else who owns more than 2 iPods, but I would never buy a seperate iPod just to hold videos while I had another holding just my favourite music.

I can certainly see the charm in buying a nano in addition to your touch or classic. If I had the mony I would definately do it, and connect it to nike+ and use it for jogging. I'm very tempted to buy a classic in addition to my ordered touch aswell :D. That one I would use to have my whole library on and hook it up to the stereo or something, or take that one when I don't wanna watch movies

i didn't buy them all at once; i upgraded. Unfortunately for me, I didn't have enough money to buy the 60GB iPod which would have stored my ~40GB library.

I have >20GB of music, which fills the 20GB iPod i have. I have about 20GB of video, which fills my 5th Gen, and leaves me space to put on about 900 songs from my fav bands. Both have HDDs, which means they are bulkier, heavier and less practical to use for exercise, hence the shuffle, which i clip to my shirt or shorts.

there is no reality distortion field; Apple actually do make some good stuff. When I was buying my 5th Gen, I looked around at other players. Very few of them worked on anything other than Windows, even fewer supported AAC, the codec of which about 90% of my music is stored in, and (through Apple or the other manufacturer's fault), nothing else worked with iTunes, meaning I'd have to have two libraries. I don't have enough HDD space for two libraries; i've already spread my vids onto an external HDD.

At the end of the day, the iPod did everything I wanted it to do; it worked with my computer system, it's being supported everywhere at the moment, and it was competitively priced. I had no motivation to use anything else.

I have 4 iPods myself :D

My 2G 4GB silver iPod mini. My first iPod. More than 2.5 years old now and it still works just as good as the day I bought it. I'll never get rid of it for many reasons. Plus I have an awesome case for it. Hard aluminum on the outside and soft padding on the inside. That case could be run over by a tank and the iPod inside would be spotless.

A 2G blue 1GB iPod shuffle. Use it when working out.

My 80GB 5.5G white iPod. It has "Everything" on it. All of my music, tons of video, and it doubles as my external hard drive.

A 3G 8GB black iPod nano. It has a significant amount of music and some video on it. It's filled, but mostly with my favorites. It's my "portable". I bought it because I couldn't resist it when I saw it in the store. It's just an amazing piece of technology. Plus, I didn't like walking around with so much personal/backed up data in my pocket. I didn't like the risk of damage or theft of that data. Unfortunately, my nano has a tilted screen so it looks like I might have to live without it for a week.

I have my 4GB iPhone too.

If the iPod nanos were available in 16GB, I'd get rid of the other iPods (except the mini) and just keep it. I love that little thing.

I'd even pay a full $300 for a 32GB iPod nano next Fall if it kept the same form factor as the current nano.

I have 2 ipods.
One is a 4 gb mini that I use in my car, hooked to my Alpine HU.
The second is a 30 gb photo that I listen to when I walk around campus. Soon I will likely be getting a touch that I will use during class to get on the wifi on campus. And also use it for watching videos.
I used to have a 2gb ipod nano 1g, but I gave it to my sister for when she runs/ is working on hw.

I still want an 80 gb classic so I can actually fit all my music on it. my 30 gb ipod has been full for well over a year now, and it would be nice just to sync all my music (and videos), without needing to decide which ones are worth having. And then being disappointed when I don't have a song uploaded that i want to listen to.

I'm a bit late to the party, but "price check" threads also must go in the Marketplace.
