I will sell this as a whole for the right price but please no low balls.

Feedback about you, the buyer will be asked for and items will only ship to a verified address (no exceptions, see above statement ^^^).
All I ask is if you would give feedback once the transaction has completed as I will do the same for you. This helps keep MacRumors a friendly environment for both parties, now and in the future :D

Send me a PM or post here with any Q's. I will check in a good deal but I will be busy in the am's so please be patient.

12" iBook G3 700Mhz with the following specs for parts that are left:

Clear Apple Keyboard…Sold and thank you!

640mb RAM (512mb stick)…SOLD, thank you!
Combo Drive (last I found)……SOLD, thank you!
AirPort card…Sold, enjoy!

The Screen with the case and Logic Board as is…SOLD…Enjoy

Tiger was running on it now but the discs are bad (one dropped and the other was scratched beyond fixing so no OS will be with it. Also it is now parted out…
The case has some scuffs on it but are minor wear and tear.
(1) FW 400 port, a Plexter DVD FW unit was used by this as an external drive and a LaCie HDD as well.
The (2) usb ports are not 2.0. I'm looking to sell it for parts or as a whole as the screen is fine, no dead pixels or anything.
The Ram was bought from CompUsa, stick of 512mb PC133 (not sure about the pin #).

I think, but not sure that the Video Card/Video Cable is what the issue is. Reason being, the screen would flicker when you moved the screen/hinge (I was told it was the cable from an Apple tech. when he did a quick look at it) but I don't work on computers everyday to judge if he is right. Sounds like some threads on MR with the same issues ended up being true to that.

As said before I will sell this as a whole, package parts for the right price but please no low balls and remember to give zip for shipping cost.

The iBook did work until it was taken apart. I had it working fine as long as the screen didn't get shut or else the screen would flicker. After taking it to the Apple Store and a quick check by the one tech. he said, if the HDD is fine once you put it in an enclosure he would think it was the video card or the video cable being broken at the hinge area based on what he has seen in the past.
At first I thought it was the HDD but that works fine having it used as an external FW Drive (great for backing up my Xbox 360 saved games FWIW).
I'm just selling it because my friend owed me money, gave me the iBook to regain some funds thus it helps both of us, sad to say about the iBook but hey…
I'll send a pm with my PayPal info, when funds clear, I'll ship it and give you the tracking #'s.

zerkour, RAM has been shipped out this morning and tracking #'s have been pm'd to you as well. Once you get the RAM and if your happy (I can't see why not) then leave feedback under artfuldodger at heatware and I'll do the same for you once I know everything is golden :)
Thanks again

Also for the person(s) who asked about the case and screen, it's just that. The pictures are of the iBook before it was taken apart, obviously. I want to sell the battery, charger, keyboard, airport card and HDD separately. Everything is apart that has to be so I can ship asap.

Hey,

I was curious, If i bought the case+screen and logic board and had a HDD, battery, RAM and Keyboard of my own, i would be able to assemble them and produce a working ibook, correct?

Basically i was just checking on what you are selling inside that case and logic board, CPU included?

(sorry if this seems a little silly, but i am basically trying to build an Ibook, and was wondering what other parts i would need)

Any help would be great! Let me know

Hi,
You would need the optical drive as that was sold, more RAM (the 512 was sold) but it still has the 128 built in. A Battery (which I have the one that comes with it but I'm not sure how much life it has since I couldn't see the screen ). You would need another HDD and an AirPort card.
Really it's all apart at this time and I found one problem with the video issue, the video wire frayed by the screen hinge (guess the Genius was right at the Apple Store).
So recap: it has screen and case, some RAM, Battery and logic board and all the screws that it needs and is also currently apart
Let me know if you have any more Q's.

Does the battery still hold a charge? If so, I can offer $12 shipped :o [that's all that's in my PP account]

The last time the battery was charged was June 27th as I found my log before the ibook was taken apart. At that time it held a good charge 3-3.5 hrs. so I would say 3hrs. it should hold.
Sorry but $12 isn't enough shipped since it's more than likely going to cost around $5 to ship.

Thanks for the purchases as the case, screen, logic board and battery with charger was sold and shipped out today. I would and others shouldn't hesitate to sell to GlassOgnion. Your stuff is all on it's way, enjoy and thanks again.
So the only thing left is the Clear keyboard--$25…BO and then this thread can be closed.
Thanks to all that bought from me :D
