Finally! After being promised "late this week, or early next week" for the last 4 or 5 weeks, my sister's iMac came in today. I picked it up and set everything up for her... works like a charm!

So to all you Mac-Heads in Australia who are waiting on an iMac, they aren't far away! Apparently even though only a few came in today, they were expecting 80 tomorrow and a steady stream after that. The 80 that are coming in tomorrow should almost cover their backlog.

I was number 40 on the list, but I got to jump the queue cuz I know the guys that work there... don't you just hate queue jumpers like me? :D

So: w00t! Yay for Apple Australia! Australia has iMacs!

Good news for down under! (Do you have a name like that for us? Up Over?

It seems like there is a good stream of them coming into the UK now, don't know how the US is doing though, I assume the same.

You're a Pom! Or a Pommie! I don't know if everyone calls you guys that or not, I think it might just be an Aussie thing to do. Dunno why...

Funny word. Pom. Pom pom pom pom. Gets funnier the more you say it. Pommie pom pom pom. OK, I'll stop now.

I just had a chat with my sister to see how everything is going. It's all good, as one would expect. The reason I'm posting, though, is this... do you remember that thread "what's your computer's name?" Well, I thought what she's called her new iMac is just too good not to share with you guys. She's called it [insert drum roll here]

Frump!

[insert symbol clash here]

He he... that's a cool name for a computer. Frump. Ha! Makes me laugh... :D

Oh I guess if you haven't lived it you don't get it.

Dear everyone,
If you don't get it, just laugh anyway.
Love,

Sorry to bring this Star Trek crap so early in the morning but in ST they refer to anyone from Earth as Terrens (I am not sure of the spelling!)

And there is the Terren empire (Alternative Universe)

Just a quick check to see, does anybody know if the 700iMacG4s are shipping yet?

No dead pixels.

The iMac is an iMac 800.

I once saw someone's photo journal of getting the box, opening it, and eventually the new system setup. It'd be cool to see this from new iMac (or any new Mac for that matter) owners.
