hi guys i have a brand new compaq evo n800c notebook that i recieved as a gift. They are pentium 4mobile, 2.0ghz, 256ddram, 30gb, dvd, 3yr warrenty, JBL speakers, 15'' screen, ATI radeon 32mb, hot swappable floppy, comes with WinXP. Retails for around 2,500$ bucks. I'd like to trade it for one of the new model 15'' powerbooks. either the superdrive or combo drive one. doesnt have to be new as long as it doesnt have any visual marks or anything like that. Id prefer if it had some sort of applecare warrenty. if anyone is interested please email me italianstallion@shaw.ca . I also may thro in some cash if necessary

I wouldn't bother bumping again after this, I can't see many people wanting to trade a latest gen TiBook for a cpq evo series notebook...know what I mean? Your best bet is to try a sell the evo for what you can on eBay and spend the cash on a used TiBook :)

well i dont expect the powerbook to be new. plus with upcoming powerbook revisions, prices on old ones will drop considerably. also id even thro in some extra cash.

You are probably better served selling this on eBay. I always earn more $$$ than expected for items that I sell on eBay. You can then buy a TiBook with the money earned - cash in hand is a lot of leverage when negotiating with some poor art school kid who spent his loan on a TiBook and can't make rent.

that didnt make any sense....sorry i know this post is old but...sheesh.
Ive noticed you on other threads lowballing people on their computers for sale but you insist this Compaq notebook is worth so much! lol. give it up and ebay the thing! youre loosing so much money every day you dont since PCs adapt new technology quicker

Honestly, I don't usually comment on items being sold unless I am interested. But you have been trying to trade someone for a Powerbook for quite awhile, and seriously I don't think anyone in their right mind would trade you.
I worked @ Intel for about 4 years doing software/hardware validation and debug and I'll tell you that their nickname for Compaq computers was ComCrap.
Also, on HPaq's site the Evo N800C is listed at like $1800 not $2500... and besides it's ugly IMHO

I originally posted links to auctions on eBay for the same PC. But I deleted it because I did not want to sink to Heuer's level (I was selling the exact same notebook and he crapped all over my thread about how bad a machine it was).
Buy it now for $1150. Opening bid 999. number of bids: 0
There is a guy in Canada selling one. It was 800cdn last night with 4 days left. Maybe he will get 1400.
