Hey, friend of mine is looking to upgrade from her dying iBook and has asked me if I could help. The specs don't matter much, but intel is preferred and if she could swing it, she'd rather get a MBP cause she's not quite as fond of the Macbook's looks (too much like her iBook, I guess). Also, just for kicks, I think she'd entertain offers of late revision Powerbooks if the deal was right.
Anyways, her budget is $1000, so keep that in mind as you post offers (so obviously no 2.4 SR MBPs, kthx ;)). PayPal only and she's ready to buy immediately.

** I've already OKed the thread with Doctor Q (re: buying for someone else). We agreed that as long as I will guarantee the transaction and payment (so that the seller is dealing with a forum member and not a 3rd party stranger) that it would be okay. I'll have him post here to confirm. **
