Yeah the article i read said "later this week" and the statement was the 24th, today, a monday....usually when someone says "later this week" on a monday they mean "later this week" like friday-ish not "later this week" like tomorrow....i hope im wrong tho

because apple has a tendency to release products, people think the update is coming tuesday (tomorrow). what people don't realize is that software updates come anytime apple wants to, as evidenced by today's macbook pro software update. i would take "later this week" to mean sometime friday.

My bet is on friday. It seems they update on friday that way if there is a problem they can get it sorted out by monday when the market opens.

It's been late afternoon PDT, like 5 PDT or even 5:45 PDT, so 8 EDT or quarter of nine EDT. Could be earlier, but 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 were about that late.

Not very large of a sample but I guess it makes sense to make the announcement today about the bricking and then release it tommorow. Time will tell.

people complain when software is released late, people also complain when software is released early but found to be "not ready". so i say just wait it out, you cant make apple release the update any sooner than they want to by making these threads and talking about this in the forums.
