Ah, we're not so special after all. There are a series of them:

http://www.google.com/bsd
http://www.google.com/linux
http://www.google.com/microsoft.html
http://www.google.com/unclesam

...and my Uni!
http://www.google.com/univ/monash

I think I've worked out that's going on. You know all those "search this site, powered by google" things that have been popping up everywhere for the last while? I think that must give google the right to do this kinf of thing.

I guess Apple etc get their own ones because they are big names. I also seem to recall that apple recently started using a search powered by google on their site.

*search search search*

Yep: http://www.apple.com/developer/
"ADC search now powered by google"

this is very cool!

but how do I get my site to come up in a search? It was create on a mac and should be listed there, and you get it on the main google page.

If anyone knows, pass it on. Thanks

Has anyone heard if google is going to make their toolbar compatible with mac?

I have used it on PC IE, and it is extremly useful. I would love to have a mac version available.

last time I checked u could register your website with the search engines...

depending on who u have your webspace with....most companies register them for u...included in your fees for having the webspace..

Problem is, it doesn't work :(
