Hello, I have a Macally Firewire hard drive which amounts to 200GB. The hard drive is 7,200RPM. It has always worked perfectly on my mac and on my windows machine(I've never had a single issue with Macally products) but someone gave me a new harddrive for a gift so it is time to let this one go. It will be wiped and formatted in either HFS+ or FAT32, buyers choice. I needed a firewire drive which is why I purchased this one.

Includes firewire cable, original box, as well as the power adapter.

I'm looking for $70 shipped.

Thanks

What about just the enclosure itself? ;)

Can it run as bus-powered or does it have to be plugged in?

Needs to be plugged in. If I got an offer for the hard drive I'd sell the enclosure for $40 shipped.

$40 :(

I'm off to NewEgg then. I need to upgrade to a SATA drive and enclosure as it is. Thank you for considering it though.

No problem, this is an IDE enclosure anyway, so newegg would be your best bet. Just search reviews on it first because some aren't the most mac-friendly I've found, especially the cheaper ones.
