i also hate cyber begging, if you want to make a deal or mooch off your real friends thats ok ( i bought my friends 17" crt for 20 bucks and it was almost new cuz he later decided he wanted an LCD) or my friend who spilled pudding on his KB and refused to use it anymore, i offered to take it ...fixed it really easily and kept it

The 8500 was one of the worst case designs ever. We have one in our garage. My dad refused to upgrade it, said it worked fine...finally last year convinced him to get a dual 867MHz. Quite a jump, going from 120MHz to dual 867. His computer was finally faster than mine. :D But not for long...

You arent gonna get very far with this one....almost anything can be sold ony ebay for something. Though I personally would be willing to accept any 23" Cinema HD LCDs that someone wants to get rid of...:D :D :D :cool: :cool: ;) ;)

Instead of begging, if anyone has a job I'd be willing to take it. Unfortuantely, where I live, people don't hire 14/15 year olds, despite the fact that we can get working papers at 14. If I were able to get a job... oh the wonders... I'd finally be able to pay my dad the rent for my room, he's getting kinda mad about how far back I owe him.

Weak. So weak. I think the point is you're a little too lazy to save up a little more money. Don't complain about having a $6.50/hr job. If you don't like it, get another job. Juggling things in high school is cake. Try college.

If you want free computer stuff, go to a business or school/college and look by the trash cans. People get rid of all kinds of computers and bits. My University got rid of an old B&W G3 a few months ago because they upgraded to all G4s. I did not get it, but one of my friends was able to get it and use it for their work.

Ya i'de love to go portable, i'm on a 400 mhz AGP G4 tower right now, can't bring myself to spend the money for an upgrade - sigh
