Chaps,

First time poster so be gentle. Lots of good advice - cheers - but was just wondering if someone could help me out with this one. Is it possible to play music through iTunes on a G3 iMac using more than one set of speakers at a time. I am using OSX 10.2.6, and am unaware of a way I can get an audio output from the three sets of speakers I have set up round the house at the same time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

splitter and very long audio cable. Either that or get an audio server and spread it all over the house.

Don't some (old) iMacs have two mini-jack sound outputs? For headphones...?

Or get an iMic USB-audio converter.... This device would be seen by OS X as a second audio output device.

Cheers for your help, I like the idea of the iMic, very versatile! (I am old enough to have some original vinyl to convert too...)

You're welcome.

You should take a look at what Griffin (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/) has to offer, not only the iMic.
Maybe some useful products for you there... (30 + ??? :) )

BTW, me 2.

if you have long distances to cover, a splitter in conjunction with wireless A/V would be helpful, i think they make them for just audio... you won't have to lay so much (expensive) cable... it would still be very pricey, but perhaps worth it...

i know www.smarthome.com has wireless AV transmission systems...
