I am selling my TiBook because I'm purchasing a new 17" :)

This laptop is flawless. There is a tiny bit of paint that was rubbed off on the corners of the laptop, other than that nothing. The comptuer has never been abused. All recovery discs are included.

The LCD has no dead pixels, and the comptuer has no damage.

Here are the specs:
System version: Mac OS X and MacOS 9
Machine speed: 667 MHz
Machine model: PowerBook G4
Memory: 256 MB SDRAM
Hard Drive: 27.94 GB (1K = 1024) 31 GB (1K = 1000)
DVD-RO
PC Card/CardBus slot
FireWire 400
2 USB ports
no DVI
Built-in 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet and 56K modem

I'll post pics tomrrow. Does $1300 sound fair?

edit: $1100

I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but only posting because you specifically asked...

$1300 sounds like too much to me. That's what a new combo ibook costs. I know that the powerbook has some advantages over the ibook, but the ibook has combo instead of dvd rom, a 40 gig HD instead of 30, 32 VRAM instead of 16, and although it's a G3, the higher clockspeed (combined with the better video card) will actually make it faster on a good number of tasks.

Plus, of course, your PB is used. I know it's in great shape, but buying a used computer is just never the same as buying one new. No matter how good the condition, used is still... well, used.

The 667 tibook is still a great computer, but I'd lower the price if I were you. Or put it on ebay, where you might get what you're asking for here.

I can get a 12" PowerBook with SuperDrive at my local university for $1295.

I'm flexible on the price, I'd just like to recover some costs since I bought the 17" PB.

Send me some offers if you're interested.

Well I would put it on eBay. I just checked there and crazily enough there are people still willing to pay $1400 for that machine.

No just the PowerBooks have the large discount. Everything else was normal edu prices.

Even with that price on the 12" I don't want it unless the add an L3 cache.

Is that specific to your uni? Mine only gives the standard education discount, and even the ADC price is higher than $1300. I'm curious because I'm looking into getting one when the line gets updated (assuming L3 cache and 2 RAM slots are part of the upgrade, maybe a DVI out too.)

Yeah, that price is specific to the local University but it wouldn't be uncommon to find it at other Universities across the country. All the 12" really needs is a cpu speed bump and an L3 cache. You can get a 1GB dimm for it giving it over a Gig of ram.

I don't wanna pay $500 for a RAM chip though. For that price, I could upgrade to a 15" (assuming they ever show up!)

True but you would pay $500-$700 for a 15" but it would still be at 256MB of Ram so you would have to pay another $200-$250 to upgrade it.

It was $1,199. Which reminds me there was a $300 difference between the two so the price of the SuperDrive model was $1,499.

Too bad you aren't after a PC.

There seems to be a lot of PC users looking to trade into MacOS. :^)

I always flop back and forth. Its good to have at least one of each machine.

I don't think so not unless you have a student ID card from one of the higher ed schools in Eugene. I would offer to make the purchase for you but my wife and a friend of mine which could both make the purchase are both planning on buying computers before the years end so that would kill their educational discount.
