Bought it last month, never used it, and never even opened it. Brand new, works on Macbook and MacBook Pros. Have the receipt and everything. Paid $65, selling for $50 + shipping.

How set are you on that price? It sells for $59 from the Apple Store, so $50 +shipping seems like it would end up costing more than a new one.

Not really related to the sale, but I thought I'd ask. Do magsafe airline adapters work in regular economy of most flights? I fly united a lot to chicago and usually take United. I've never noticed a place where I Could plug in anything though.

One of the generic airline travel sites lists seat maps of all equipment the airlines fly, as well as where (or if) there are power jacks available.

I just checked on Southwest last month, and they don't offer power jacks on any of their equipment...

Thanks MacDann, I think seatguru.com is one site that can tell you what to check out. I'll look into them for the planes that are on the DC area airports to the Chicago area airports.

It also works in cars.

Oh, I didn't know that. Now I want it more. why doesn't apple explicitly say that in the product title?

by the way, here's a link to this product on amazon for reference:

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I didn't realized anyone responded to this thread, don't know how I missed it. But I'll be checking it now.

Okay, I paid $65 from the Apple store. $55 shipped sounded fair to me because it would be $10 less than buying it in the store. I guess I could play around with the price if you want to make me an offer. Just to reiterate it has never been opened and brand new in the package.

I flew on Jet Blue and I was told by Apple only new airlines have the jacks for the laptop adapter. And since Jet Blue has one of the newest fleets around I figured it would just work. Well it wouldn't, and by time I got back from my trip, the 14 day return policy was over.

I also don't plan I flying anytime sooner so it's kinda useless for me.

I see on ebay that there's a few listings for brand new ones from a reputable seller for $40 + $10 shipping. so based on that, I feel $40 flat would be a fair offer. Let me know what you think.

Is there nothing similar to the MagSafe Airline adapter that also charges?

I'll probably hold on to it longer if the going price is $40. Apple doesn't make an airline adapter that also charges, though I haven't checked any 3rd party companies.
