Have you got any real proof? You can change the code quite easily to show that...
Any differences from 9a599 or its not true...how about a pic with Safari's yellow Find function

Yes, it is. And...?

If it is the real thing (and I'm highly skeptical) I would like to know of stability, compatibility etc.

The easiest way to confirm it would be to take that same photo (the 2nd one), but with the About Mac panel near the right or left Dock. And if it is really 9A581, you're in deep **** dude.

That's the correct kernel version in the photo. Are you saying the the 9A559 kernel was 9.0.0b5?

Sorry for any confusion psychofreak - my reply wasn't in reference to your own. I guess I was just curious why the op started this thread and why be all cryptic... As you noted, it's easy to mimic the build no. in the about window, and if the poster has anything else to add they should just come out and say it.

As a user who has the dock hidden, small on the left with a little bit of magnification, I really would like a quick video of this...

If the 9A559 kernel version is 9.0.0b5, then this is legit unless he changed the kernel version too (since 9.0.0 is the correct version for 9A581). Again, a picture with the side dock is the easiest way to confirm it for good.

for the record I'm running 9A559.
and I;m pretty sure that that would be an NDA breach..
Then again, telling your guys the Kernal Version was probably not the best idea anyway.
I think that A simple google image search would tell you what the kernel version is.
Im not saying that its impossible that the number/letter changed, granted, I do not really know what the kernal ID means, as a DEV I use leopard to work mainly on web apps and developing an AIR environment for a social networking platform

How do you know that the kernal version would have changed?
and am I missing why a screenshot of the dock would confirm this?

Because the version did change. If you don't want to trust that, beta kernel in a release OS doesn't make much sense does it? My only question is where this guy got it. He's either at a production plant or someone internal that decided to leak it (hopefully not the latter).
