What happened to Pioneer

Pioneer makes the superdrive DVD recorder that Apple uses in their computers, right?

So, why has Pioneer's web site disappeared? Have they been gobbled up by someone?

Apple?

Microsoft?

I know, but click the link. That web site now lists a web site for sale link and credit report pop ups. Where's the electonic's company??

Hmm, it's loading up fine over here.

The front page lets me choose which division of Pioneer I want to browse (Canada English, Canada French of USA)

I enter the Canada English and it loads up the page. Everything looks fine.
