Refurbished PowerBooks

A PowerBook purchase is in my very near future. Perhaps one of the new version of the 12" if they come out next week. If not, I'm considering a refurbished unit that's available (for now) at the Apple Store. Anyone out there had any experience buying a refurb unit? Are they good as new? I'd hate to get one with dead pixels, or a scratched screen, etc

Apple is really good with their referb program.

They will inspect the machine, replace anything that doen't meet their quality standards, test, retest, shine up/paint if needed, and Repackage as if new. A great program, and cheaper.
