Thanks for the info. That's how I did my upgrade (macbook) but a friend of mine wants to upgrade his macbook but doesn't have the cash now. My cousin is getting an iMac and is selling me his 1 Gb stick for 20 bucks since he's maxing it out to 4 Gb. Was hoping I could get another cheap stick and help my friend out. I like him and all, but i'm not gonna spend 60 bucks on his computer :)

macsales.com has pulled 1GB chips for $27 or so...

I see no reason not to buy several!

Newegg and Frys have ddr2 667 laptop memory that works 100% with iMac and Macbook from name brands for like $20 for a 1gb stick. Its so cheap now!
