WooHoo! Here she comes! Current path predictions show the eye of the storm coming directly over my house!

And I'm not even going to be there which is going to be a problem......I just hope it goes out to sea....

'Course, if it does go out to sea, it may well come ashore just enough further north to hit the DC/Baltimore metro square-on. And here my basement was already leaking... ;)

Seriously, though....here's hoping that anyone in Isabel's path comes through safely, with minimum property damage. *crosses fingers*

I've had issues with my basement, got the drains put in the floor and the sump pump working great.

The only problem is the power will most likely go out and then the pump doesn't work - which means we'll get flooded....again....

And I'm not there....it will be a mess.

I'd love it to go out in the Atlantic - we'll know better tomorrow...

Once again, Floriduh has been spared.

Good luck to those of you in North Carolina and Virginia.

You know I really shouldn't be posting, since I was going to cite another thread in the forums for hw...

But I heard on the news report a discovery about the hurricane that is baffling scientists. Inside the eye of the hurricane was the fastest recorded hurricane wind speed (gust).

I think it was around 236mph (or 380kph)

We are watching the progress of Hurricaine Isabel closely here in New England. There is a scenerio of her heading North.

I hope that your house will be OK Mr. Anderson!

Hurricaine Isabel's strength has decreased with maximine sustained winds of 140 mph, still a major storm Category 4. Decreased overnight from 150 mph on Sunday. Speed has decreased to 8 mph from 9mph on Sunday, traveling West Northwest toward the East coast.

ick -- you don't want a hurricane just to get out of school.. they do way to much damage. the current "track" has it going right over Richmond. Boooo -- we just bought a house..

Though I think i will get off work, unless a server or application of mine crashes...

the thing that sucks is if it goes north or south, I am still in the path of the storm.. and somewhat near the coast. (1 hour)
