My mouse and OS X

Is it just me or does all the mice i hook up to my iBook really not work well... I installed MouseZoom to speed up the mouse speed but the mouse speed really isn't consistent.... if i try to move is slowly it will move it really slowly so that it's hard to be precise and it will speed up and slow down at random times

Basically it's hard to be precise... could it be my mouse? which micec would u recommend?

Have you tried changing the Mouse preferences in System Preferences? You want to adjust the tracking speed there before you try any third party application.
