What?
Your MacBook was on fire, and you didn't extinguish the fire... and now it doesn't turn on?

you have to leave it ablaze for about 3 days. Petrol helps.

Please, please, please. Do describe the events that led up to this combustion incident.
And pics - or it didn't happen.

Well, if it's made of Sodium and you're attempting to throw water on it - that could be one case.
If you are using a Halon Extinguisher in an air-tight environment.
Or if you're a 10 year old playing with fire in Cali in late fall.
Otherwise - I'm stumped.

in addition to the above, you can also put it in a sealed container with a bunch of cooked, burning white rice. if the rice is still aflame that will help draw the fire out of the laptop, as the burning rice acts as a combustion desiccant.

GreenPeace has learned that a MacBook is on fire.
They are advising the whole global population to don gas masks while this envronmental emergeny persists.
In a statement GreenPeace said: "We tried to tell Apple that their MacBooks are a toxic waste dump just waiting for an accident to happen. Well it's happened. All of those toxic materials are expected to enter the upper atmosphere later today and we expect toxic precipitation to start falling sometime late tomorrow."

I was on the roof of my building trying to pick up wireless, and dropped my MBP. What should I do? (It's a 15-story apartment building).

use a trebuchet of some sort to launch it back up the 15-stories. That should reverse the process! :D

I saw that ROFL. Apple Care probably put him on hold, laughed their asses off, then took him off hold and told him "You want US to pay for your own stupidity?" HAHAHAHA Sorry, warranty doesn't cover user induced damage or smoking meth while loading up your surfboard and leaving your mbp behind.
Still it is good news that it worked STILL, wonder how many other laptops can say the same.
I know my old manager smashed a thinkpad screen just by closing it, not slamming it, he closed it and the screen just shattered. BAH IBM.

Wow, that is just amazing. I can't believe it survived, period. I mean, it's totally FUBAR, but powering up into the OS.
That thing deserves a medal.
