I found this in the Fark.com forums a few days ago, and was just wondering if anyone else had seen it before:

(By the way, those brown guys in the background are called Domo-Kun, from what I've been told).

Thats soooo great! I wish I had seen this thread earlier. Even though I don't like cats...I actually saw a flyer with that cat picture on it at school. It was promoting a club.

Oh, the poor kitty. I know that there is a problem with the cat overpopulation, but I didn't know such drastic measures were being taken to cope with it.

I'm just glad I've never killed a kitten:D

ON a note so realted note, there's a musican/comic named Steven Lynch and he has this song "kill a kitten". It's very funny in a black/sick humor kind of way.

I think that friend was trying to tell you something there.... LOL...

Love the original ad though... I will have to check out the web site later and see what else is on there for cool Mac ads.

I was commenting on the fact that I've NEVER bought a PC, so I hadn't killed a kitten - like in the ad?!?!?!. I thought I was laying the sarcasm on pretty thick, maybe I'll wink next time;)

Yeah, I remembered... but if I also remember, it wasn't that long ago, and you get to see her fairly often. Maybe you should send her the link, and a picture of a pair of racket balls.... they do come in blue you know :D

AAH! steven lynch rulez! i saw him on comedy central a long while back, i about died laughing. i need to get it on tape! how odd that someone would mention him, he's not *that* well known is he?

Its sick and funny. I love cats and I don't like cats being used as "killing pawns" Still it is a funny ad.

No I dont think he's well known at all. He should be though. I heard of him from a friend. Nobody has ever heard of him when I mention his name but everyone loves his songs.

I sent the .gif file off to our sysadmin and his assistant yesterday and talked to them this morning. The assistant thought it was funny but the sysadmin didn't get it.

I explained it to him.

He didn't get it.

I painfully went over the message that if you buy a PC you kill a kitten and if you buy a mac you don't.

He still didn't get it.

If it weren't for his interest in learning some more about macs and the fact that he has an old iMac on his desk, I would say there was no hope for him.:D
