I came across a tam recently. I would like to upgrade it a little.

Ram: Everymac says its this: 70 ns 168-pin DIMM, which I believe is EDO since its so old (Canada Ram might be able to help me out with this:))

I would also like a PCI firewire or usb card. I would prefer a firewire.

-Will any old pci card work?

This is a shot in the dark... Does anyone have an old sonnet crescendo g3 L2 500mhz cpu upgrade lying around? I have my eye on one on ebay right now, I just want to see what you all have.

As always the cheaper the better

I want to get it up to snuff so it can replace my imac g3 I am using as an itunes box in the kitchen. (looks much cooler too!)

The Twentieth Anniversary Mac takes 5 V EDO DIMMs, these are not the same as PC66 or PC100, (which are 3.3 V non-EDO and synchronous)

You can find them at DMS (http://www.datamemorysystems.com/Apple-PowerMac-6400+-6500+-5500-&-20th-Anniversary-Memory-Upgrades/C1111) along with the Sonnet accelerator.

There is a Web page (http://tam.axon.net/index.html) dedicated to the TAM

I'm pretty sure I have a two 64mb EDO from an old Cyrix computer.

You just need one though? EDO can only be paired a believe.

Could you post a pic of them. Are they the 5 volt type like Canadaram said?

Also, if anyone else knows if I can use standard pc pci cards please tell me. I much rather use old PC parts
