I've got a whole bunch of video cards and RAM that I don't need, so I figured I'd just sell them. I'll put them up on eBay if I can't sell them here first, but let me know if you're interested. None of them are hacked PC cards, all are OEM or retail for Macs. Here's the list:

nVidia 7800 GT 256MB PCIe, for G5 PowerMac Quad (still have 1 more left)
ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac 256MB PCIe, for G5 PowerMac Quad (sold)
ATI 9800 XT 256MB AGP, for AGP G5 only (I don't know if it will work in G4s) (sold)
ATI Radeon 9200 128MB PCI (sold)
ATI Radeon 7000 32MB PCI

Tons of RAM too, all different kinds and sizes (out of PC100/133, desktop and laptop).

I have 4 512MB sticks available. I can test them tomorrow (been awhile since I used them) and sell for about $10 a piece plus $10 for 2-3 Priority Mail shipping and tracking. Or $50 total for all 4.

Sorry, I only have 1 of those left. Most of the RAM I have left is for desktops. $50, including shipping and tracking, obo if you or anyone else is interested.

I'm sorry, I don't have any AGP video cards that would work in a cube. I've got several people already interested in what's left of my 512MB PC100/133 sticks, but if any of them fall through and I have any left, I'll let you know.

The PCI and PCIe cards will probably be going up on eBay this weekend.

Sure. I think I'll be putting it, along with the rest of the video cards and some of the DDR2 RAM (mostly PC4200) on eBay this weekend sometime if they still aren't selling. I'll post the links when I do.

I'm probably going to be out of PC133 RAM and PC2700 laptop RAM soon, if I'm not already (if the offers currently out there go through) but I still have a bunch of DDR2 RAM for the PowerMac G5 Quad, or the last gen G5 iMac (iSight model), or any PC that takes DDR2. All 1GB sticks I believe. I also have some 512MB PC2700 RAM for desktops. I have a few other types that I'll go through more when I have some time.

I honestly thought the RAM would barely sell, and was mainly pushing the video cards, otherwise I would have been more specific about the RAM in the first place. :p

It might, but I can't guarantee anything. It's designed to run in the G5 only. You might be better off buying one already configured for that via eBay.

For the user replaceable slot, you'd need a PC100/133 SO-DIMM (like for laptops), and I'm afraid I don't have any SDRAM SO-DIMMs left. Sorry. Plenty of DDR and DDR2 though. :o

I'm sorry, I'm out of the 1GB DDR SODIMMs. I might have some 512MB sticks, but that's about it. Sorry. Try Macsales or eBay if you haven't already. :)

I can't guarantee mine will. Doubt it would even fit. But it's for G5s only anyway. I think Macsales had some 9600s that would work in Cubes and other G4s, and I've seen flashed PC cards that should work. Good luck.

I still have a few sticks of 512MB PC100 that should work in a Cube, I can hold them for a few more days for you.

Both would be fine. 7800 is a little faster for some things, but for FCP either would work. I think the Radeon is better if you want to rotate your display. To be honest, I'm not sure, and the benching sites I've checked seem to focus more on games. In my experience, they're about the same. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I still have 1 of each left, both have 2 DVI ports.

Any desktop RAM? PC2-4200? Preferably 1GB :)
Yeah, a lot of that actually. How much do you need? You have a Quad or Dual Core G5, right?

It's the XT OEM model for the G5s. I'm honestly not sure if it would work. It might, just don't want to guarantee anything (sorry :o I'm a cautious person). You're probably better off with a 9600, or the cheaper 128MB model, but if you're still interested, it goes for anywhere from $100-$200 on eBay from what I've seen for that model. You can make an offer if you'd like, and I'd love to sell it, I just don't want you to wind up with a card that won't work. ;) Or worse, a fried computer.

any RAM for the 17" 1ghz imac? I'm not sure what kind it needs. The specs @ http://lowendmac.com/imacs/imac17b.html are kind of confusing.
"# RAM: 256 MB, expandable to 2 GB using one user accessible PC2100 SODIMM (up to 1 GB) and one 184-pin DIMM (also up to 1 GB) - only officially supported to 512 MB modules by Apple."

Does this mean one regular RAM slot and one labtop type RAM slot? ---confusing.

Currently DIMM0 is empty, and DIMM1 has a 512MB PC2700 chip. I'd like to max it out.

Also, just curious, how'd u get all these goodies?

Sounds like the one that's inside, the one that's not supposed to be user replaceable, has a 512MB chip in it. The user replaceable one looks like it's empty, but that's a SO-DIMM (notebook/laptop RAM). I don't think Apple shipped any with the internal one empty. Open the base, and if it's empty, that's the SO-DIMM. If not, the internal one has either gone bad or was taken out. That's a standard DDR stick. I only have 512MB DDR SO-DIMMs left though. Officially, it will only take that much, for 1GB total, but unofficially, it should take a 1GB stick. If you're still interested in the 512MB SO-DIMM, let me know.

Also, just curious, how'd u get all these goodies?
I used to fix and upgrade computers, Macs and PCs, when I was working temp jobs on and off as a side job. I also tend to upgrade my own computers a lot. When I moved back to CA, I got a nice, but smaller, place (also more expensive). So I took a full time permanent job since I'm here to stay. Don't need the money as much as I want to get rid of most of my old stuff, and make some room. After the holidays, when I get some more time to deal with all of it, I'll probably just put whatever I can't sell here up on eBay.

i tried to take off the bottom part of the imac g4...but found that one screw was stripped!!! so no go:mad:

i bought this imac used, and another mystery is that is that the specs on the bottom list the imac with the standard config. 256MB RAM. but with the system profile info. listing a 512MB RAM DIMM and an empty slot it makes me wonder.

I guess someone at one point opened the bottom of the case because one screw was almost completely stripped and the others in not so good condition...so i dunno.

Looks like I won't be able to buy the RAM. Unless you know of a way to remove stripped screws?

Also on another note, I just upgraded my alum. imac 24" RAM to 4 GB so i have 2x 1 GB SO-Dimms left (1 stock and 1 OWC stick). Sucks that I can't post on marketplace to sell em yet because I don't have 100 posts. I'd probably sell 'em for $20 shipped (paypal) to any interested parties though, if hypothetically they'd PM me.

Anyway, GL unloading ur stuff. I like ur sig. btw, too.

Try surgical clamps (http://www.dkimages.com/discover/previews/978/50312962.JPG) or something similar (needle-nosed pliers, etc). You might have to gouge the plastic slightly, but at least it'll let you get the bad screw out. I had a B&W G3 where some fool tried (and tried and tried) to remove a lot of the hex bolts with a Phillips head screwdriver, so I got pretty good at this.

Thanks. Usually it's even faster, but I sent it right before Christmas. That's one of the reasons why I'm waiting to put everything up on eBay. ;)

Glad you liked it though. :)

Do you have any 512MB PC133 SDRAM?:

I've got a whole bunch of video cards and RAM that I don't need, so I figured I'd just sell them. I'll put them up on eBay if I can't sell them here first, but let me know if you're interested. None of them are hacked PC cards, all are OEM or retail for Macs. Here's the list:

nVidia 7800 GT 256MB PCIe, for G5 PowerMac Quad (still have 1 more left)
ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac 256MB PCIe, for G5 PowerMac Quad (sold)
ATI 9800 XT 256MB AGP, for AGP G5 only (I don't know if it will work in G4s) (nm, still available)
ATI Radeon 9200 128MB PCI (sold)
ATI Radeon 7000 32MB PCI

Tons of RAM too, all different kinds and sizes.

Sorry, I don't. :o Completely out of PC100/133 SDRAM. It's pretty cheap on eBay right now, and not too bad from places like Newegg or OWC. Good luck.
