it has 3 games (gears of war, top spin 2 and PGR4) and ill provide controller and instructions.
i also have 1 month of xbox live for sale and an xbox 360 wireless adapter.

I'm not really sure what would be a sensible offer on one of these.
Do you have any idea of a price range you are looking to get?
Thanks,

I know you say you need to sell this asap but you've had this for sale on here for awhile so why dont you just send it in for repair and resell it once its back for much higher price. Or if you have a game store like in the US they'll buy it outright from you if its broken.
If you want to sell GOW for $25 USD i'll buy it.

You still haven't got back to me about the games (you sent Saint's Row instead of PGR4).

I thought I would post a brief update here to let others know about my troubles with this seller.
I purchased this item in good faith. I only received some of the items listed and others were incorrect.
I did receive the console, and three games but no instructions, no controller and one of the games were wrong (Saints Row instead of PGR4). In addition, despite the console being previously advertised as a 'premium console with 20GB HDD in the OP's other FS thread, it was not included here. The console was also scratched up pretty bad and I wasn't told about this.
I have contacted the OP about the issues including the console, missing controller/instructions, wrong game and as of yet I've had no response. It has been almost a week with no contact and the OP has received (been online) at least some of my messages. As a result I have had to initiate a claim through PayPal.
If there is a genuine reason for the misunderstanding rectifying the situation, the OP can contact me and all will be resolved and forgotten about.
Thanks, David

That's sad news. I kinda felt fishy about this seller when I contacted him many times about selling one of the games and he never got back to me.

So it appears I ordered from someone who likes the weed (http://forum.everyonedoesit.co.uk/showthread.php?p=1930775#post1930775). Brilliant. This also proves he has been online as recent as yesterday (15/12/07).
At this point, I can only assume (after alerting to the seller that I knew he had been online but hadn't replied to me) that he has logged out of the forums and if coming back on here, he is doing so without logging in.
In any case, I now believe with 100% certainty that he has received every one of my messages and posts and that he is choosing to ignore the issue.
Be wary of this seller.

sadly I have to enter now into this conversation as well.
I purchased the 360 wireless internet adapter from the seller and I still have nothing to show for it. I am trying to work out with the seller where my item is, but he will not answer pm's anymore.
Waiting to hear from you...

May I ask how you found that site about the weed? I hope it was just a random google of his s/n.

davidjearly is actually the pseudonym of a deep-cover American DEA agent stationed in Scotland. As part of his duties, he constantly monitors cannabicentric websites and then contacts users of those sites and attempts to purchase their electronic equipment. Due to the electromagnetic fields generated by contemporary consumer electronics, and the normal household air circulation resulting from atmospheric phenomena such as movement, laughter, and flatulence, and the chemical composition of tetrahydrocannabinoids, davidjearly's crack team of forensic chemists is able to disassemble said electronic equipment and extract samples of chemical residue -- what a layman would call "smoke damage."
This provides sufficient circumstantial evidence to prosecute and often convict the users of these sites, who often use marijuana as a "gateway drug" statistically proven to lead to the abuse of harder drugs and lolcats.
Sometimes, however, a "bust" goes wrong.
Terribly wrong.

Sorry to hear about that. At least I received the 360. Maybe we can assume he is too much 'out of his face' on drugs to remember he sold us anything.
At this point, I have to ask if any of the moderators have a way of contacting this person on my behalf (through details he perhaps provided upon signing up to the forum), I would greatly appreciate it.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. It would seem you just slid in front of that bullet for me. So unfortunate...
PayPal can certainly determine whether or not you're in the right but they explicitly claim that they can only retrieve funds on your behalf if within their means, usually if funds are currently in the account of the wrong-doer.
P.S. Let's not start blaming drugs here. Everyone has abilities to make their own choices, whether or not drugs are involved.

It hasn't been 30 days.
Apparently, they don't look at claims for being incomplete, but only if the item has not bee delivered at all. Now that I have had one claim denied, they are refusing to create a new one.
I am in the middle of disputing this with them but can't see myself recouping anything via them.

Ideas:
1. Did you use a credit card? Contact your CC company.
2. Can you see a phone number via paypal? Call him.
3. Did he write a home address on the package that he did send? Contact the local authorities with that info and your complaint.

They won't allow me to create another claim. I should have stated that I didn't receive the item at all to begin with. But hey, I am still trying to be honest about what I did receive.

Unfortunately not.
Ideas:
1. Did you use a credit card? Contact your CC company.
Yes, and a good point! I'll contact them to see if they can help.
2. Can you see a phone number via paypal? Call him.
Not that I noticed, but again, I will double check.
3. Did he write a home address on the package that he did send? Contact the local authorities with that info and your complaint.
Unfortunately not, although I have every intention of asking the authorities to contact the staff here to obtain as much personal information required to take action against him.
What I don't understand is why the OP thought it necessary to actually send anything. Does this help him sleep at night, I wonder?
I can hear him chant to himself 'I only robbed him a little bit'.

If UK credit card companies are anything like their US counterparts, you're fine. They will probably refund the entire amount as a provision credit and let PayPal track down this dick.
HOWEVER, PayPal may close your account if they can't recover the money from him. They don't like paying out of pocket for someones mistake and this is what will happen if they can't get it back.

So did Rhys ship from the UK or the US? Because there is a Rhys on another message board I am on who seems to be from somewhere in the UK but is currently in South Carolina. You can find a phone number if it's the same guy by directing your attentions to http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=406068 . He's a Wales guy. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=399240 . And he's apparently had eBay troubles. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=407404 .
I don't know if it's the same guy, but it certainly could be. Odd bird. Very into guns for some reason. Perhaps it would be better if we hadn't all found the same guy (what with the guns and drug use - a winning combination). Just something to keep in mind.

Thanks for trying to help, but I dont think this is the same person. Not only does he have a different attitude in his posts, but his full name is Rhys Harrison. The guy from the forum above has a business registered under Rhys Sage.
