Obviously someone stole his notebook and english is not his first language.
Isn't there a way to report the serial # to Apple in case it pops up somewhere?

Apple states clearly on its support pages that it does not deal with stolen property and will refer you to the police, who do.

I think decksnap summed it up if you all read his/her post.
The guy clearly isn't from around here and it's fairly obvious that they're not a thief unless you just read the title.

I've been there. It sucks. You have to face the fact you won't get it back. I trust you have some insurance? For that you'll need a police report. If you have no insurance then that's a hard lesson learnt. Good luck.

Can you get insurance on a laptop? Is that possible?
One of my fears is coming home one day and seeing my computer stolen. Everything else is replaceable, but my computer is my lifeline.

I meant contents insurance. I had mine stolen from my (privately-rented) work room and my insurance bought me a new machine.

Well, I'm going to voice my opinion. I honestly think this is a joke. Don't think its legit. ;)
Its very poor English, a little too poor if you ask me. Looks like an attempt to fool people for fun.

If you want to re-phrase this in a way which makes any sense, please do so. Until then though...
