One of my best friends recently got a Compaq c500 (c600?) laptop for her birthday. It runs Vista Home Basic with a whopping 512mb of RAM.
Heck, booting takes forever, and don't even get me started about trying to open even a single program. So, I'm doing the only thing a righteous computer nerd would do, and I'm looking to upgrade her ram.
Since she only ever runs AIM, Office 2007, and Firefox (and maybe solitaire, this is windows :p) I don't think she needs a lot.
Is anyone willing to offer $10 shipped for a nice 512mb chip that I can throw in there? It doesn't matter what speed it is, just that it's DDR2...
