Hi there,
Come to the point where it's only being used for Pages, Firefox and MSN, so I'm taking the severe step in downsizing to an EEE PC or something like that.
Is there a market for selling this here? It's in good condition, complete with charger and box, can be seen working and all that prior to purchase if you'd like to come to Northampton. Never opened it up to install more RAM (never needed to) or anything like that, I planned to but didn't!
It has the three years of AppleCare that I bought with it, purchased end of July - serial number throws this up on the Apple website:
"Our records indicate that your product is covered under Apple's Limited Warranty which is estimated to expire on 27 Jul 2010.
Your product is eligible for custom phone support, for more information, please contact us."
So I've owned it just over four months! Ordered from Apple (on the phone) directly. Any questions please ask.
Now for sale, £1300, collection from Northampton ideally.

Also interested in a part-exchange for a white MacBook, 2.16 or 2.2Ghz ideally, with 2GB or 4GB of RAM.

What are the specs of your MBP? Ram, HD, etc.
Would you be willing to trade for a Black SR 2.2 MB + Cash?

Yes, I would. What are the specs on it? What version (white or silver)?
How much cash? Bearing in mind this as AppleCare.

At base price, I'd value yours at a grand, mine was £1600 new plus AppleCare, so it's worth around £1500 I'd say. Would be looking for £500 on top as long as yours is fully boxed and all that.

I would be looking for an iMac or MacBook in part-ex, but cash price? Not sure, £1300 I guess?

You've confused me, you say mines worth £1000 and you'd like an additional £500 + my iMac.....but you'll accept £1300 cash??
Or have I read wrong??

I thought that might cause confusion. At retail, they're worth around £1500 for the MacBook Pro and £1000 for the iMac (Being generous with yours (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Apple-iMac-24-2-16GHz-Intel-Core-2-Duo-OSX-Leopard_W0QQitemZ120188537354QQihZ002QQcategoryZ4603QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)), so I would take that value off of the MacBook Pro's value.
But, if I was given cash, £1300 would be acceptable because I could buy a better iMac for the same amount of cash (if that makes sense!). With student discount it brings the top end iMac down a lot.

OK and good luck...but mine cost £1200 11 months ago, i still have the receipt.

That's my point, I've only knocked £200 off your original price, yet my computer was £1600 plus £200 for AppleCare in July, about four months ago. So you're getting the better deal in the price difference.

No more interest? Otherwise I'll pop it on eBay soon I guess, although I don't really want to.
Actual price is £1300, collection preferred, comes with AppleCare until 2010.

Would you be interested in a black macbook 2gb plus dvi adapter? How about this plus £150?
It has 3 year apple care and is only a few months old, bought from the Apple store in Regent Street.

Sorry, but that's not worth close to what this is in my eyes, mine was bought for £1800, yours for what, £1300? £150 is way too little.
Ideally I'm looking for a white MacBook or new iMac, but prefer cash to buy the iMac really.

It's on eBay now.

It's at that price because I want people to offer closer to what I was looking for (£1300).
Cheers!

I might be interested. Would you trade for a 20" AL iMac 2.4GHz/2GB/320GB/AppleCare. Bought in Aug?.
PS it would help if you put pics of the MBP up so people can get a feel for the condition

Again, the difference in value (and age) is a lot bigger than that. Yours isn't worth much over £800 - £850, mine would go for around £1300.

Hey,
I'd be interested yeah, depends on the cash difference though! Will get pictures sorted, but it's in great condition, pictures won't say much though as it has no marks on it or anything!

Have decided to keep the iMac and just add a laptop instead of going all mobile
