I have a 1GHz 12" PowerBook with 768MB RAM and an 80GB hard drive. I recently got it up and running again, and it definitely shows signs of use. I got it from a friend that used it for 2 years day in and day out at school.

I would think that $600 is reasonable given the amount of time and effort I put into fixing it, as well as the general desire that people have for the 12" PowerBook. Ultimately the whole point of this point though is that my asking price may be too high, and I would appreciate the input.

However, if you want to buy it for that price shipped (would be willing to go a little lower shipped) then feel free to contact me.

Another 12" powerbook thread was started a few days ago, and the general idea was that it was worth about $400-500 depending on condition.

I'd quote it at around 500, depending on case condition and any original accessories included. I know you said it's in rough condition and it was a friend's, so maybe 425-450.

Pics will tell better, as will any details on what went into fixing it.

Thanks for all the replies, I'll try to get some pictures of it up shortly. The main sign of wear is right on the palmrests, would getting something like the marware cover add much more value simply by the fact that then those areas are out of sight, and hopefully by proxy, out of mind?
