B&W g3 help needed

I recently bought the parts to construct a g3 b&w I have everything minus the video card. will any mac compatible pci video card work in this. I also got a harddrive from a busted imac it has os 9 on it if i place this drive in the b&w will it boot up or will i need to format it and find a system disc on ebay

It's always good to have the system disk around especially when trouble arises...

The answer is yes, the hard drive should boot the system. I would probably wipe and reinstall, just to make sure the correct stuff for your configuration is installed, however.

And yes, any mac-compatible pci video card will work. I currently have a Radeon 7000 installed in my B&W, but the Rage 128 that came with it works fine. I wouldn't use anything with less than 16MB VRAM.
