iBook is on its way out (Some loud noises coming from it, its the HD so i'll keep that)

So offers for all other parts(All working fine, If not see below) are accepted.
Casing not being sold, as it is in poor condition. If I get an offer for the whole thing(Sans HD As above) As it'd be easier for me to just take out the HD then seal it all back up.
ALL parts are sold as spare/repair(Sold As Seen), hence, I cannot give refunds on ANY item sold, that does not work.
Pics in the morning if needed of the laptop booted.

Thanks:)

Its a 12", 768MB Ram (Which I understand is 512, and 256 on the logic board soldered on) With a Combo drive. battery isn't too bad.(2 Hours or so) AC Adapter can be included, but its a little rubbish (3rd party)
Ah yeah and it has APX, but no bluetooth.
Oh btw: I'm hoping to keep this UK Only. And Payment by PayPal. Shipping to be decided by buyer if they'd like:)
No restore disks, sorry, and no original casing, but all parts will be packaged well.
Thanks.

I might also trade for a PC laptop if anyone wants to.

So I'd just need to stick in a new hard drive and buy an OS?

Hmm maybe...Im just a bit concerned about the noise I'm hearing. Its deffo not the fan on the bottom of the Logic Board, is there any other fans on the other side? And it may be the speakers, but i hear the POST noise just fine.

You can make an offer for the whole thing minus hard drive...But remember, I'm selling this as seen. Which means its working perfectly atm, but with a very annoying noise. Fix that, and its perfect.

Try using G4 Fan Control. You can manually cycle the fan, higher or lower.

Taking these apart are still not for the faint of heart.

Well I actually removed the fan, put it back together and booted it, hello again squealing noise. So I'm kinda looking to sell to someone who knows what they're doing with these iBooks.

NOTE: iBook POSTs and boots, just with that noise.

I'm gonna say...

EDIT: £150+ Shipping in the Uk!:) I see that as fair, as it does actually work, just needs a minor sounding repair.

Sorry if I seem like a pain but can I ask a couple more questions?

Given that I'm happy stripping down 'proper' pcs and rebuilding them from scratch is fitting a new hard drive a tricky job?

And will any old hard drive do?

And is this a good 'starter' mac, as I'm curious to what they're like after using Windows for ever.

Thanks.
