I dropped my phone in there, for literally 1/2 a second.

the screen was WHITE, then afterwards, and the phone was still on.

i held the power switch and it turned off.

its been 13 hours and it hasn't turned back on. i decided to stop trying and wait.

what else can i do, or is this covered by AT&T since its only been 65 days.

help me please.

Dude, you're screwed. You drop a phone in the toilet and you want ATT to be responsible. What a load of crap.

It might take a few days to dry out completely, maybe putting it somewhere warmish might help. Only then will you be able to see if it's completely broken.

Besides which, there's a moisture-sensitive sensor around the mini-jack socket which will show if it's been soaked. Insurance is your only option.

What was in the toilet? Just urine? Or also feces?

It's dead. No warranty coverage will apply since you dropped it in water - that voids the warranty. If you had private insurance for the phone, that may cover it, but probably not because your insurance would probably cover loss and theft (not negligence). There's probably still time to get a new one on your Christmas list.

i dont beleive it was neglagence....i think my phone was commiting suicide, which brings me to an idea....ill post a video on youtube about me and iphone. with the song 'you've got a freind in me' from toy story, then at the end of the movie...the iphone commits suicide into the toilet. and ill ask that 400 people donate one dollar to me. PERFECT.

but thanks your help, and there was nothing in the toilet, just water.

and do you think i could sell this phone on ebay, broken ?

and people would buy it for parts?

Yes - I think you could unload it on eBay. Make sure that you clearly list that is has been exposed to water and does not function. Someone might buy it as a prop, or for parts.

Everyone, tyvm for your support, i placed my phone in my oven at 120degrees F, for 5 hours.

Then hit the ON black button as many times as i could, then plugged it in the computer.

Now the screen has a battery, and its 1/10th red.

and it has a harry potter Z on the bottom of the screen.

Too bad a big bag of some sort of desiccant isn't available to leave it in for few days... never personally tried it but sounds like it might work. Good luck!

Your next post will probably be along the lines of: "Hey guys, I just plugged my waterlogged, boiled and fried iPhone into my Mac, and now the Mac won't start. What have I done wrong?:confused:?"

Thats probably why your iPod died, I've been dropping my iPhone in the toilet for months now but its still chugging along fine, probably because it knows it has a nice mac to go home to every night.:D

Ah, now it all makes sense. I knew a Mac user would be too smart to drop something in the toilet. Lol, Windows. Figures.

Whats a MAC? I mean, I know what a Mac is, but a MAC? Is it like a MAC address?

Haha, ha. Cheeky humor isn't funny. Capitalization doesn't change a word. Mac is short for Macintosh. Its a line of computers under the Apple Computer (now just Apple) brand.

Mac is not short for macintosh anymore. It used to be, but now all apple computers are just 'Macs'

It's a good thing you didn't drop one of those brown Zunes in there; you wouldn't have been able to find it. ;)

(sorry)

Well... if the iPhone was in there, it was just feces since the iPhone ain't *****

Funny one. I like this one a lot.

p.s. Just kidding about the iPhone. Love it very much, hate the hell out of AT&T.

Hmm... looks like the same guy is registering multiple accounts on this forum and posting these b/s threads. I guess Apple is popular enough now that we'll have to deal with this kind of extra trolling. Hopefully mods will ban the IP.

looks like someone is terribly ignorant, hopefully the mods will find the guy (post above me), and ban him.

and my iphone is now broken, but i went to APPLE, told them it had dead spots, and the water sensor was broken due to shower mist a while ago. so i got a new iphone ^_^_^

:)

This might be one of the funniest threads I have EVER read. From the initial title, to the responses...brillliance.

Kudos to all!
