I think what he means is if it turns the ADC input into DVI input, or turns ADC output into DVI output.
I think he probably means the latter.

If one device is DVI and the other is ADC this allows them to be connected. I don't think it makes any difference which is which does it?
The main use is an ADC monitor being plugged into a DVI graphics card - or so I think :-)

Is the AirPort Extreme the newest model?
No - it is the white "flying saucer" no modem / no antenna port BUT is 54 Mbs - which is way beyond what most all cable / dsl can provide.

No, an adc to DVI connector is small since it just changes pin layout.
A DVI to ADC (using a dvi computer with an ADC monitor) is more complicated since you're routing power (and usb) over one cable. They have inputs for dvi and usb and have to be plugged into an outlet.
