Hi all. My navy buddy gave me an iPod color to do with as I pleased, as he got a new iPod Classic.. so I'm gonna sell it.

Full disclosure: He said the hard drive broke on it, and I should try to fix it. I plugged it in and it worked fine, and I uploaded ~14 gigs worth of music onto it. The interface seems sluggish at times, but as I still use a black and white iPod, I don't know if it's a hard drive issue, or just how the software is.

At any rate, it's a used 60 gig iPod Color. No video, just photos. Scratched. From what I can tell, fully functional and with good battery. However, I'm selling it as-is.

Any takers?

UPDATE: The hard drive is "dead". It won't sync in iTunes, but I can read the drive, and I can write to it... kinda. So i don't know what's going on now, but buy it at your own risk.
Also, the interface isn't sluggish when there's no album art.. if you can make it work :p

If you get desperate and part it out, I've got dibs on the HDD.

Just so everyone knows, you CAN play videos on this iPod. I'm not exactly sure of the process, but my friend did it a few days ago by putting a different OS on it. Pretty cool.

I'm interested to add to my collection. How much would you like for it?

I'm really not sure what these things go for these days. If you (or anyone else) wants to throw out a fair number, I'm more then happy to go from there.

At this point, I'm afraid that a firmware flash would just make the iPod even more useless then it already is. I just want to get what I can for it, and then get either a classic or touch.
