I am putting up my trusty 1998 Ford Escort four-door sedan up for sale! This little compact car has been reliable as heck, and seen very little mileage over the years. It's been in my family since it was brand new, and has only 104,000 miles on it - pretty low for a car its age.
I figured I'd try here before I hit up Craigslist again - the last sale on there fell through at the last moment, and it was really damn frustrating.
Here's a rundown of the car:
The Good
- 5-speed manual transmission
- dual airbags
- cloth interior
- expanding trunk (rear seats fold down)
- remote entry
- after-market CD player with iPod (or other MP3 player) input as well
- new brake pads and rotors, done within the last 1000 miles
- new spark plugs and wires
- got a new radiator a few years back, as the original one was leaky
- recently checked by a mechanic to make sure everything was in good shape!
The Bad
- dent in the side rear door where someone hit it a few days ago while it was parked
- small hole in the rear bumper where my sister backed into a pole
- the horn hasn't worked for at least 5 years
- the speakers aren't that great, to be honest
- it pulls a little to the right when driving
Why am I selling? Because I just don't need it, to be honest. I take the bus and my bike everywhere already, and the car just sits on the street racking up parking tickets and costing me insurance payments. It runs fine, gets fantastic gas mileage (30+ mpg), and heats up quickly in the winter.
So take it off my hands!

It's got MN plates and tabs now too, btw.
