Congratulations brainwashed consumerists!

Last year, during the holiday season, American consumerism put 455 Billion dollars into the hands of a slew of money grubbing corporations.

I'm sure they'd love it if they reached their landmark goal of 500 Billion dollars this year, and you have all contributed handsomely. On behalf of all the overpaid CEOs, I extend my most sincere thanks for continuing to buy your friends and relatives cheap **** they don't need for exorbitant prices.

In doing so, you not only keep alive the hazardous cycle of production, consumption, and waste, but you simultaneously ensure that just as the Scrooges wanted, Christmas in America will remain a Grand Festival of Buying **** you Don't Need.

I'm sure that when the wise men brought their tributary gifts to the baby Jesus, they had acquired said gifts from Wal-Mart, Target, and Best Buy, respectively.

So how did the birth of 'God's Son' evolve into a fat man in a red suit climbing down people's chimneys to leave them presents of varying value, usually depending on the household owner's economic status? Would Jesus be proud and happy to know that his birth is now being used by conniving corporations as a way to encourage consumers to buy excessively in a season which they otherwise wouldn't?

You have been manipulated successfully into believing that the spirit of Christmas, and the love and joy that people should share with each other, is somehow enhanced by spending billions of dollars on gifts. Consumerism during the holiday season is not a tradition. It's a brainwash. And it's a brainwash that has been implemented by the wealthy corporations, so that they can make even more money than they already do. They want you to spend money during the holiday season, and they make you think that you're spending it in the name of Jesus, and the name of Love.

Thanks to your blind consumerism, the Ebenezer Scrooges of our generation will be sure to wake up Christmas morning finding that Saint Nick has graciously delivered them colossal stockings full of your hard earned CA$H.

Once again, I'd like to thank you for your generous contributions to this grotesque festival. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The very corporations that employ the millions of Americans that buy stuff. Hope you haven't stooped to actually working for one.

The corporations hire those millions of Americans so that they'll remain slaves, trapped in their sinfully boring jobs, never having opportunities to rise up in life.

Believe me. The corporations make more money than they spend.
