I don't know anything about that program, but I am pretty sure that to run a Linux program, you have to partition your hard drive and install a Linux system.

I am not totally sure, but look into it.

I wouldn't have a clue but installing Linux is probably the way to go...maybe you could get it to work under xfree86 (http://www.xdarwin.org)...but that will probably not work..

I am pretty sure the only way is to install a Linux parttion or else use VPC and do it in there.

Unfortunately it won't work under XDarwin, which is an implementation of Xwindows over the Darwin that we already use. It only lets you use a certain set of programs that has been ported over.

Good luck!

I don't think Linux programs will work on oSX, anyone confirm?

I did some research before, and I have found that there is a way to run XWindows, which is necessary to run Linux programs on OS X. But, this is on the Darwin kernel, so only programs ported to Darwin are able to be used. Unfortunately, there are only about 400 or so programs available for it that I can find. They are from the Fink site(http://fink.sourceforge.net/)

If anyone wants to play around with this(it is a little bit slow), it is called XDarwin, and you can find information on it from http://mrcla.com/XonX/

I have tried it, and it doesn't have enough programs for me, so over the summer I am going to partition my hard drive and install a full version of debian for powerpc.

Here are a couple of sites for information on that

http://penguinppc.org/

I went and looked at that page, unfortunately my french isn't very good. so I checked out sourceforge. I think you will probably have to recompile lobster and to do that you will have to install the developer tools and grab XDarwin and install it (in order to get the X libraries etc) and then you should be able to run it using xdarwin - assuming you can get it to compile.
