I'm planning on eBaying my Black MacBook. I'm not really sure how much it's worth. Here are the specs:

2.16 GHz Core 2 Duo
2 GB RAM (Crucial)
160 GB Hard Drive
Box with all included cds(10.4)/apple remote etc
Black colour
AppleCare (expires May 2010)
Bought in May 2007

It's in excellent condition - no scratches or breaks. I'll be sad to see it go, but I needed a MBP instead. So how much should I be looking for?

I would say you should expect a decent amount on ebay. Looking at the specs, maybe 1100-1200... Here definitely less

He must be talking dollars.
Probably £600-£650?

Yes, meant 1100-1200 Dollars. Didn't catch the "UK" at the end of the title!

OK great thanks for the replies. I'll give a good clean and put it on eBay!

arcsbite - out of interest, how much did ebay charge for listing it?

I just sold a MBP on eBay for £959. I started the auction at 99p (so it only cost 15p to list plus 15p for the gallery feature), and the final value fee was £16, so I'd say the Macbook (if it should sell for around £650, would cost say £11)

Great advice. I'll put it up in a few days. You decided to get rid of the MBP then?

How much would you be looking to sell this for, without including eBay?

Time for a new Penryn one any time now I'd guess ;)

£675 including postage would be nice.

I don't really understand all the different chip names :) All I know is that santa rosa is what I want so I can have 4 GB of RAM. Will I ever use 4 GB of RAM? Possibly not, but I like the thought of having it!
