I was wondering if anybody knew how to share an individual folder in OS X instead of a whole hard drive?
If anyone could help me out, that would be great!
Thanx for any help you can give :)

Select he folder you want to share and hit command-I. Select 'privileges' from the drop down menu and there you are. you can allow different types of access to the folder.

i think he's asking how to create another share so when he logs in remotely it asks him what he want to mount and gives him a choice of his home directory, the hard drive (if he is a privileged user), and the share
i know how to do this with netatalk in linux but i'm not sure if the same rules apply (it was just a creation and edit of a config file)
if this wasn't what you were asking i'm sorry but i'd like to personally know how to do this in 10 :)

Yes, kishba you are right, I want to learn how do this for our network at home so we don't have to have a whole hard drive shared
Hopefully, someone knows....

Get OS X Server...sorry, I couldn't help it.
It's easier to do on OS X Server, but possible on OS X client. Here's how:
1) Create a new user called "Share" or something like it, do not give them administrator access. Setup the password, etc.
2) Make sure File sharing is turned on.
You will be able to share everything in their Public/Drop Box directory.
