I've got an old Bondi Blue iMac sitting around collecting dust (actually I just cleaned it up) and I'd like to see how much I can get for it. It has a 233 MHz G3 processor, 96 MB of RAM, a 4 GB hard drive, and a tray-loading CD-ROM drive.
I will include all the original manuals, plus a little Apple CD booklet containing the Mac OS 8.5 software restore and install discs, Williams-Sonoma "Guide to Good Cooking" CD, Quicken Deluxe 98, Adobe PageMill 3.0, a game called MDK, and Kai's Photo Soap SE. I may or may not include the matching Apple keyboard, but I will definitely include the puck mouse.
The iMac is in great condition. The only problem I see with it is that the latch on the "port door" on the side is broken, so it won't always stay closed. This is a minor issue though.
I'm not sure if this can be classified as a collector's item or not, but I'd say it may be since it includes all the original software and manuals.
I've also upgraded it to OS X Panther with no problems. I just had to put more memory in it before I attempted installing it. Panther requires at least 128 MB of memory. I put 256 MB in it to test it and it ran pretty well.
If you're in the Rochester, NY area and would like to pick it up, I can sell it for a much reduced price since there are no shipping costs.
Anyway, go ahead and throw some figures out for me. I have no idea how much I can get for it. And if you want some pictures, ask me and I'll post some.
