I don't know what else to do, so I'm turning to everyone here.
User nlacey and I agreed to trade computers (my pbook for his G4) in July.. I shipped it off and he said he'd do the same. Mine mysteriously came back and his never made it. I decided to keep my powerbook and the trade never occured. We both consented on this.
Later I agreed to buy his SoundSticks for $100. I sent the money via paypal and have still yet to receive the speakers (3 months). I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?
He has stopped responding to any emails or attempts at contact.
his emails:

nlacey18@yahoo.com

Your title answers your question. Reminds me of Yes's 90125 album:
"Once bitten twice shy, no, no, no regrets at all".

If you sent him stuff, I assume you know his name and address. Take him to small claims court.

file a claim with PayPal, you should be able to get your money back from them.

While this doesn't help you at all, I think it's worth mentioning that sales outside of protected systems such as eBay are dangerous. Unless you know the other party fairly well, it's just not a good idea.

Get as much information on him as possible. Google is strong weapon.
I've been able to find work place phone numbers on dead beat sellers and call them there. If he is a student somewhere, call the school. If his email was a small ISP, call them. Order pizzas to his house, etc etc.

I think he needs some magazine subscriptions. Post his name and address here and we can fill them out. I used to do this a lot to people I didn't like in Jr. High.
He also needs his e-mail in box filled with junk mail. A friend of mine at work who is a hacker captured my Windows login password. I signed him up for a ton of e-mail and various sites. Very effective.

Although fun, I doubt this is the best tactic for getting money back. You're more likely to get the seller angry and never see your money or speakers again. Has anyone else dealt with this person?

Very effective. While filling out magazine subscriptions is nice, diverting the more risqué magazine subscription (like gay, lebsian, activist, bomb makers journal, paramility digests, ect) to his next door neighbors and/or his bosses mailbox (if possible) are much more interesting.
As is also the usual entering him for dates in the same-sex rags and listing his boss' and/or girlfriends telephone numbers/addresses.
