The going rate on auction sites is something like 400-450 for lesser setups, but since it's MacRumors, it usually goes a little bit cheaper. So considering the upgrades you made, if I were you I'd say the item is worth $400. But will you get $400 for it here? I really don't know :). If you are interested in trading anything, I have some items I could toss your way in PM....

I can see offering $350-400 shipped as reasonable on here. Might I add that I may be interested if this comes up for sale.

I concur with the $400 guess.

The max RAM on that chap is 640MB, isn't it? That knocks the legs out of some of us -- nevermind, I checked and it accepts up to 1.125GB.
I was thinking that there was a terrible "gotcha" about the 800MHz iBook G4's. It was probably just my RAM delusion. Well, it won't install Leopard without a simple OpenFirmware hack, I could have been thinking of that too.
I <3 the iBooks. I've had six or seven of 'em.

My understanding is that 640MB is the maximum RAM for this model, but I could be wrong.

Can do.

http://lowendmac.com/ibooks/g4-12.html says that it's 1.125GB. Not that they'll guarantee it, natch, but I've had good experiences relying on their information in the past.

Ah the first generation G4 ibook. I had one of these for three years - they are amazingly reliable laptops - the thing is, the later revisions had more L2 cache which really sped things up, keep that in mind
