i just bought a macbook for its portability so i am now selling my macbook pro. This omputsr is fast! I bought it new 11/06 and i bought apple care and its transferable to you so there is still 1 year and 10 months left on the warranty. There is 1gb of ram and can be upgraded to 4gb since it ia the core 2 duo chipset. Package includes the power adapter, extension cord, apple remote (needs new batter, can be bought a a radioshack or rite aid), and its original battery. Its spent its life in my home so it is in great shape. The normal wear exist on the casing, no major gashes or anything. It is a matte diaplay, not glossy. Also, the original battery needs to be replaced and currently last about 1.5 hrs of internet and word processing. Finally, the keyboard backlight is dimming on the right side with approximately 8 keys affected. Good news is that it is under applecare via warranty that i bought. Ill include the documentation in the box. I honestly dont care for the backlight and that is why I have not taken it to apple. I also have all the start up disk and everything. I will include a laptop bag plus a sleeve all work 50. So with the 250 dollar apple care, plus large upgraded 160 gb hard drive, plus the bag and sleeve worth 50, you can buy this computer for 1500. Email me at (erase the spaces) j e z r e e l s @g m a i l d ot com.

If I am not mistaken, those MBP models have memory limit of 3GB since they do not have the Santa Rosa chipset.

They can take 4GB, but only 3.3GB can be recognized. This is a good deal with the AppleCare and 160GB HDD considering that Apple sells the a similar model with 1GB RAM and a 120GB HDD for $1499 + tax.

Sorry for my mistake. I was under the assumption that 4gig would work. Thinking of putting this up on ebay with in a week or two, but remember 1500obo.
Again, I have a downgraded perse to a macbook with 2.16ghz, 160gb hd, 1 gig of ram. Only reason was for school/portability and the fact that I don't like lugging around a 2000 plus dollar notebook. I'm missing the extra realestate with the MBP's large screen though :) though but portability is a premium.
